B1 Speaking and Listening Course Two

This program is designed to help you pass your B1 Speaking and Listening test to become a London Private Hire driver. Our online course offers two months' access to 14 mock interviews and a transcript to help you prepare for the test. For public safety, all London PHV drivers must speak, listen, read and write in English at an appropriate level.   The appropriate level is equivalent to level B1 on the Common European Framework of Reference, which is the equivalent of the standard reached in the early years of secondary school.   You will be required to undertake a Speaking and Listening Assessment which will consist of a 15–20 minute conversation.   The assessment will be undertaken by a secure video or telephone link within TfL premises to our service provider, PeopleCert, a global leader in the assessment and certification of professional skills.  You will need to pass the Speaking and Listening Assessment to demonstrate that you have the required skills to listen and speak in English at the appropriate level.
