Topographical Assessment

Our TfL Topographical Skills Assessment training program is essential for anyone looking to become a licensed Private Hire Driver in London. The computer-based assessment is divided into two parts, including a multiple-choice section worth 25% of the total marks and a route planning section worth 75% of the total marks. With our comprehensive training program, you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to confidently pass the Topographical Skills Assessment and achieve your licensing goals.

TfL Topographical home access

Home Access

Unlimited access and usage (one user)

One month: £150, two months: £200, three months: £250 & six months: £350

Remote access to your PC/laptop will be required for installation.

Guided Training

One to one training with a maximum of two learners at a time. 

Fees: 2 hours £70, 3 hours £100. Anymore hours will be £30 each

Self-practice: £15 an hour

Group Training

You will be trained with another 3 people with a maximum of 4 people in a group. Current schedule are: 

3 hours £70 on Tuesdays and Saturdays 9:15am - 12:15am​

Facilities

​You get training at our fully computer based facility or at home (remote access) as long as you have access to a computer or laptop with a mouse and good internet connection. 

Assessment Structure

The assessment will test all aspects of map reading skills:

-Using indexes to identify points/locations

-Using a map to identify directions and points/locations

-To plan a route between two locations

-To demonstrate knowledge of compass points within directional based questions
